The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is holding a board meeting on Tuesday to consider a $6m sponsorship of WWE’s WrestleMania, which returns to the city for a second consecutive year in April.
This year’s iteration was a great success for Nevada tourism, as more than 120,000 people came to Sin City for the action at Allegiant Stadium.

Another topic up for discussion at the LVCVA meeting will be the purchase of $1.25m worth of tickets for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, taking place later this month. It would give tickets to customers, stakeholders, and destination partners.
LVCVA CEO Steve Hill believes the event is a good opportunity to bring the “largest current and potential customers” to Las Vegas to experience the event.
Southern Nevada’s official destination marketing organization is doing what it can to counteract the declining visitor numbers seen so far in 2025. A recent initiative to boost business was the “Las Vegas Sale” in September, during which properties offered heavily discounted room rates.
One point of concern in the short term is that Harry Reid International Airport is facing a 10% drop in flight capacity starting on Friday as a result of FAA staffing shortages amid the ongoing government shutdown. The cuts could impact thousands of flights and lead to a sizeable loss in visitor spending.
