Every felt like you were being followed? Well, now, if you get that feeling while playing in a casino it could be one of the slot machines.
A video of a new slot machine filmed at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) is going viral on X. The land-based gaming machine is seen moving around the floor at the Las Vegas gaming trade show in the video from reporter Jacob Orth:
The clip now has more than 59,000 views on X and has prompted a mixed response from gambling fans. For instance, Vegas news source Vital Vegas has blasted the APEX slot machine as a clear sign that “slot makers have run out of ideas and the casino industry is doomed.”
Seriously – who is this marketed to?”
Many people share Vital Vegas’ viewpoint that the slot is unnecessary. @PokerTaco called it “hilariously terrifying,” while @H2Poe asked: “Seriously – who is this marketed to?”
Others have made light of the situation. @wamy_hamy said simply: “I knew they’d figure out someway to follow you to the bathroom.” Along a similar vein, @diabetes_king asked: “Why don’t they just put slot machines in the bathroom at this point?”
APEX, the maker of the slot, is advertising its products at The Venetian Expo Las Vegas during the G2E. There is no evidence of a moving slot on the supplier’s website, which suggests it could be a product created especially for the trade show without any intention of selling it as such.
Whatever the case, the moving slot has certainly got people talking.
